Mr. Cohen is a graduate of The University of San Diego and was admitted to the California Bar in 1993. After his admission, Mr. Cohen spent five (5) years as an associate and partner at one of the nation’s most prestigious law firms where he specialized in handling insurance bad faith, personal injury and complex products liability actions.

In 1998, Mr. Cohen formed The Cohen Law Firm.  In addition to handling insurance bad faith, complex personal injury and products liability actions, Mr. Cohen has expanded the practice areas of the firm to include commercial and business litigation, class action litigation, contract disputes, construction defect and construction law, employment law and professional athlete workers' compensation.

Mr. Cohen has achieved millions of dollars on behalf of his clients and has successfully defended numerous clients who have been named as defendants in lawsuit.

Mr. Cohen is member of the California Bar, The San Diego Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, The Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, The Association of Business Trial Lawyers. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Mr. Cohen is a graduate of the prestigious Trial Lawyers College (Seminar), and is a recognized author and lecturer in the areas of insurance and tort law.

Mr. LaFrancis graduated from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law.  Since then, he has specialized in representing plaintiffs in all areas of civil litigation at both the State and Federal level. 

Mr. LaFrancis was involved in the Metabolife litigation and was an associate with the law firm of Frantz, Townsend & Foldenauer.

He currently represents plaintiffs in a variety of areas of law, including but not limited to, personal injury claims, wrongful termination, professional athlete workers' compensation, medical malpractice, product liability, and class actions.

Mr. LaFrancis has successfully participated in lawsuits to both juries and judges in California State and Federal Courts as well as through State administrative forums. He has also successfully represented clients through the State Appellate process and in arbitrations and mediations throughout San Diego.
